Provence is the homeland of rosé wine
The rosé wine was born in Provence. The story began 2600 years ago when the Foca brought the grape vine to the region. At that time, all wines were rosé wines, since maceration (soaking) had not yet been developed. Vineyards were established, new grape varieties were introduced and winemaking techniques were improved. The best rosé wines are elegant, slightly colored and crisp wines. The world's best rosé wines are made in the green part of Provence.
